Ordering Pipes and Fittings: From Quote to Delivery

Whether you are buying materials for a project or replenishing a distributor’s stock, you need a quotation that reflects what you actually plan to order. Clear pipe sizes, fitting quantities and delivery details make that easier. A short list prepared before you request a PPR, PP or PVC pipe quote can save several rounds of questions later.

Start with what you need

Tell us where the products will be used. A water supply system, underfloor heating installation and drainage line each have different requirements. For a project, share the technical specification. For stock orders, let us know which products and sizes you need.

List the pipe diameter, wall thickness or SDR, and total length. Add elbows, tees, couplings and other fittings on separate lines, with their sizes and quantities. Use product codes if you have them; otherwise, a product name and size will help. Our sales team can discuss any details you are unsure about before you place the order.

Look at what the price includes

Two quotations may cover the same pipe diameter but differ in wall thickness, construction or pack quantities. Check that you are comparing the same specifications and amounts. This makes it easier to see exactly what each quotation includes.

If your project requires a particular standard, certificate or test report, mention it when requesting the quote. Document requirements can also vary by destination country. You can review SPK certificates and ask our team to confirm whether the document you need covers the products in your order.

Discuss delivery early

Let us know when you need the products and where they should be delivered. For export orders, the destination country and delivery point or port help us plan the shipment. Include any special packaging or labelling requests as well.

Before confirming the order, review the product list, packaging details and agreed dispatch date. The dispatch date and the date you need the goods to arrive may be different, so it helps to make both clear when planning the order.

RFQ Checklist

RFQ means “request for quotation”. Use this short list when preparing yours:

  • Company name and contact details
  • Product codes or names, sizes and quantities
  • Intended use and any technical specifications or document requirements
  • Destination country, city and delivery point
  • Required arrival date and any packaging or labelling requests
